How to choose a raw Vietnamese hair supplier for your salon
A practical checklist for US salon owners and stylists buying raw Vietnamese hair wholesale: proof, specs, samples, color matching and communication.
1. Ask for evidence, not broad labels
Ask whether a supplier can share unedited videos of the hair being discussed: on a ruler, in natural light, and handled on camera. Also ask for current workshop footage.
HERILUXHAIR's video page shows examples of sorting, preparation and checking. For a specific order, ask what photos or video can be arranged before packing.
2. Check that they understand salon methods
A tape-in, an I-tip and a hand-tied weft each need different construction. A good supplier asks about tape width, tip size, weft width and strand weight, not only length and color.
3. Start small
Test one or two textures with real clients before ordering volume. A low minimum order makes this possible; ours is 100g.
4. Agree the spec in writing
Confirm origin (Vietnamese or Cambodian), length, texture, color code, weight and method in one message before production. This reduces misunderstandings later.
5. Color matching
Send a reference photo in daylight. Ask whether the supplier matches to a ring chart or dyes custom, and ask for a photo of the result next to your reference.
6. Communication
You may need to clarify specifications during an order. Look for clear answers and a communication channel that works for your salon.
